The Waxmode Story

Hi I'm Wax, co-founder of Waxmode.
I grew up in an era when music wasn’t just background noise—it was an event. The days of MTV premieres, Sam Goody, and Tower Records made new music feel monumental. When an artist dropped a new album, you didn’t just listen—you experienced it. You went to your local record shop, picked up a physical copy, and played it over and over, uncovering new details with each spin. Music wasn’t something you skimmed through; it was something you lived with.
That reverence for the art form that is a full album of music has always stayed with me. So when I was creating my latest album, "Lifetime Achievement Award", I wanted it to be more than just another digital release. This album was meant to be heard on vinyl. I wanted fans to have something real, something they could hold, collect, and revisit like an old friend. Something that they couldn't just easily skip through while being distracted by other nonsense on their phone.
But as I got closer to releasing the album, I realized something was missing. A quality record player from a brand that truly understood the art of listening. Not just a device, but a bridge between the artist’s vision and the listener’s experience. That’s when Waxmode was born—not just as a record player brand, but as a movement to celebrate music the way it deserves to be heard.
Waxmode is for the music lovers, the deep listeners, the collectors who cherish every crackle and groove. It’s for the independent artists who pour their souls into their work and deserve a platform that values artistry over algorithms. It’s for those who listen mindfully and completely immerse themselves in the experience.
With Waxmode, I’m bringing back a feeling that is nostalgic for some of us, and brand new for others. A connection between the music and the listener, and also between the artist and the fan. In a world full of content with an extremely short shelf life, we are putting our foot down and saying MUSIC IS NOT DISPOSABLE.
